The Media represents Medea – the goddess of illusion. The daughter of King Aerates of Colchis. was known as the wise one for her skill of healing and proficiency at using drugs and herbs. Medea was a devotee of the goddess Hecate, and one of the great sorceresses of the ancient world. Her father aerates who had been king of Ephyraea before he emigrated to Colchis.
