The Lupercalia is an ancient Roman holiday celebrated from February 13:15. Luperclia means “wolf festival.”
The origins and even the exact purpose of Lupercalia are not known, and we not even known by the Romans who celebrated it.
Chiefly, it was a fertility festival. Get it? Lupercalia=fertility, Valentines Day=Love. See that? Fertility…love…get the connection?
