THE FRIEND OF MY ENEMY IS MY ENEMY
And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him.
ḤAZON (REVELATION) 12:9
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the Truth? They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.
GALATIYM (GALATIANS) 4:16-17
This Is Why People Get Upset When Their Beliefs Are Challenged.
Most people don’t really want the truth, they just want a constant reassurance that what they believe is the TRUTH.
Sometimes people hold a core belief that is very strong. When they are presented with evidence that works against that belief, the new evidence cannot be accepted. It creates a feeling that is uncomfortable called Cognitive Dissonance.
A mental conflict occurs when beliefs are contradicted by new information. This conflict activates areas of the brain involved in personal identity and emotional response to threats. The brain’s alarms go off when a person feels threatened on a deeply personal and emotional response level causing them to shut down and disregard any rational evidence that contradicts what they previously regarded as “TRUTH”.
