The Lion of Yahudah (Judah)

The Lion of Yahudah (Judah) (Rev 5:5) is the symbol of the Yisraelite (Israelite) tribe of Yahudah (Judah) in the Book of BERE’SHIYTH (Genesis).

Yahudah (Judah) was the fourth son of YA’AQOV (Jacob) the Yisraelite (Israelite) and was the progenitor of King David.

The Lion of Yahudah (Judah) is also a phrase in the Book of CHIZAYON (Revelation) representing YAHUSHA HA’MASHIACH (The Messiah), which originated from the tribe of Yahudah (Judah).

The Scriptural Yahudah (Judah) (in Hebrew: Yahudah) is the original name of the Tribe of Yahudah (Judah), which is traditionally symbolized by a lion.

In Genesis, the patriarch YA’AQOV (Jacob) (“Yisrael” ”Israel”) gave that symbol to this tribe when he refers to his son Yahudah (Judah) as a Gur Aryeh, a “Young Lion” (Genesis 49:9) when blessing him.

In the naming tradition the Hebrew name and the substitute name are often combined as a pair, as in this case.

The Lion of Yahudah (Judah) was used as a Yahudiym (Jewish) symbol for many years, and as Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) was the capital of the Kingdom of Judah, in 1950 it was included in the Emblem of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem).

In Christian tradition, the Lion of Judah represents J-sus. YAHUSHA was from the tribe of Yahudah (Judah) and he is mentioned as the Lion of Yahudah (Judah) in CHIZAYON (Revelation).

The phrase appears in the Renewed Covenant (NT) Book of CHIZAYON (Revelation) 5:5;

——————

“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Yahudah , the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

CHIZAYON (Revelation) 5:5

Many Christian and Mᴇssɪᴀɴɪᴄ organizations and ministries use the lion of Yahudah (Judah) as their emblem or even their name.
