Hanukkah YES HE DID REPROVE THEM

Yahusha HaMashiach did reprove them and their festival!
Remember, Chapters and verse numbering were inserted by man. When we read in full context it reads like a single scroll and not a book with various chapters and verses that have breaks in it.
John 8-10 tells of Him starting to walk inside the Temple and midway in Chapter 10 He is on Solomon’s porch . He was there at the dawn, chapter 8 verse 2 at sunset He was on Solomon’s porch chapter 10 verse 22 (at that time).
You can follow His steps and His words all the way through the Temple until He is at Jordan at the end of John 10 for the full picture.
He started in the temple in John 8:2.
And at dawn He came again into the Set-apart Place, and all the people were coming to Him. And having sat down, He was teaching them. Yoḥanan (John) 8:2
Then He reproved them in verse 9.
And when they heard it, being reproved by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the older ones until the last. And יהושע was left alone, and the woman standing in the middle. Yoḥanan (John) 8:9
and in verse 12 tells the sinner He is the LIGHT of the world,
Therefore יהושע spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of life.” Yoḥanan (John) 8:12
He was proclaiming Himself and not the Pharisees that Isaiah (ch 29) rightly prophesied about
Woe to Ari’ĕl, to Ari’ĕl, the city where Dawiḏ dwelt! Add year to year, let festivals come around. “And I shall distress Ari’ĕl, and there shall be mourning and sorrow, and it shall be to Me as Ari’ĕl. “And I shall encamp against you all around, I shall lay siege against you with a mound, and I shall raise siege-works against you.
“And you shall be brought low and speak out of the ground, and your speech shall be low, out of the dust. And your voice shall be like a medium’s, out of the ground, and your speech whisper out of the dust.
“But the crowd of those strange to you shall be like fine dust, and the crowd of the ruthless ones as chaff blowing away. And it shall be in an instant, suddenly!”
You shall be visited by יהוה of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and flame of devouring fire.
Then the crowd of all the nations who fight against Ari’ĕl, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision. And it shall be as when a hungry man dreams, and see, he eats; but he awakes, and his being is empty; or as when a thirsty man dreams, and see, he drinks; but he awakes, and see, he is faint, and his being is longing.
Thus shall the crowd of all the nations be who fight against Mount Tsiyon. Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. For יהוה has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets. And He has covered your heads, the seers. And the entire vision is to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men give to one who knows books, saying, “Read this, please.” And he said, “I am unable, for it is sealed.”
And the book is given to one who does not know books, saying, “Read this, please.” And he said, “I have not known books.” And יהוה says,
“Because this people has drawn near with its mouth, and with its lips they have esteemed Me, and it has kept its heart far from Me, and their fear of Me has become a command of men that is taught! “Therefore, see, I am again doing a marvellous work among this people, a marvellous work and a wonder. And the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their clever men shall be hidden.”
Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from יהוה, and their works are in the dark; they say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?”
How perverse of you! Should the potter be reckoned as the clay? Should what is made say of its Maker, “He did not make me”? And what is formed say of Him who formed it, “He did not understand”? Is it not yet a little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into garden land, and garden land be reckoned as a forest? And in that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of gloom, and out of darkness. And the meek ones shall increase their joy in יהוה, and the poor among men rejoice in the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.
For the ruthless one is brought to naught, the scorner is consumed, and all who watch for evil shall be cut off, those who make a man to sin in word, and lay a snare for him who reproves in the gate, and turn aside the righteous with empty reasoning .
Therefore thus said יהוה, who ransomed Aḇraham, concerning the house of Ya‛aqoḇ, “Ya‛aqoḇ is no longer put to shame, no longer does his face grow pale. “For when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, they shall set apart My Name, and set apart the Set-apart One of Ya‛aqoḇ, and fear the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.
“And those who went astray in spirit shall come to understanding, and the grumblers accept instruction.” Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 29:1-24
He continued to pretty much proclaim they were false, they are thieves, hirelings, and wolves. So yes He does reprove them many times.
In John 8:19-24 He is in the treasury. This is right inside of the gate. After they accuse Him of being false He reproved them by saying they did not know Him and that they will die in their sin!
Catch that “THEY WILL DIE IN >THEIR SIN<“.
Therefore they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?” יהושע answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father. If you knew Me, you would have known My Father also.” These words יהושע spoke in the treasury, teaching in the Set-apart Place. And no one laid hands on Him, because His hour had not yet come.
Therefore יהושע said to them again, “I am going away, and you shall seek Me, and you shall die in your sin. Where I go you are unable to come.”
Then the Yehuḏim said, “Shall He kill Himself, because He says, ‘Where I go you are unable to come’?” And He said to them, “You are from below, I am from above. You are of this world, I am not of this world. “Therefore I said to you that you shall die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.” Yoḥanan (John) 8:19-24
He continues and tells them: “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it. “And because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me. Who of you proves Me wrong concerning sin? And if I speak the truth, why do you not believe Me?” He who is of Elohim hears the Words of Elohim, therefore you do not hear because you are not of Elohim. Yoḥanan (John) 8:44-47
In verse 59 they want to stone Him and He leaves the inside of the “set apart place”.
Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but יהושע was hidden and went out of the Set-apart Place, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. Yoḥanan (John) 8:59
In ch 9:1 we see as He was exiting the Temple he seen a blind man. This blind man and all unclean Jews and gentiles would be outside the GATE (same place where peter healed the lame man). Outside the GATE is the outer court. And Solomon’s porch.
And passing by, He saw a man, blind from birth. Yoḥanan (John) 9:1
John 9:4 & 5 He plainly states it is day and when night comes (Hanukkah) He will not be able to work.
“It is necessary for Me to work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day – night is coming, when no one is able to work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Yoḥanan (John) 9:4,5
Why did He say this? One reason is the LIGHT of the menorah was lit during the day. This is why we will find Him at Jordan where they believe at night in John 10:39-42.
Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, but He went forth out of their hand, and went once more to the other side of the Yardĕn to the place where Yoḥanan was immersing at first, and there He stayed. And many came to Him and said, “Yoḥanan indeed did no sign, yet all that Yoḥanan said about this Man was true.” And many believed in Him there. Yoḥanan (John) 10:39-42
This is crucial to understand. He was repeatedly saying He was the true light and not their false light that was lit at night. The new testament teaches this and so does the old testament. Things done at night was from children of darkness NOT children of light. He proclaimed in John 9:5 that the whole time He is in the world He is the light.
Not on “their” festival day of Hanukkah. In fact you will notice He didn’t say He was the LIGHT on this day but He proclaimed, in John 10, that He was the gate and those there celebrating the false light were not His sheep. They had not “entered The gate/door” of the true Temple.
Going on in John 9 the blind guy was a testimony of Yahusha that they rejected. They threw him out of the temple. This would be where the unclean Yahudim go, the outer court. Yahusha hears about it so obviously He too is in the outer court. Yahusha finds him and this man believes while it’s day at the Temple.
The Pharisees hear what Yahusha said as follows:
And יהושע said, >>“For judgment I have come into this world, <<that those not seeing might see, and those seeing might become blind.” And those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind, too?” יהושע said to them, >>“If you were blind, you would have no sin, but now you say, ‘We see,’ therefore your sin remains.<< Yoḥanan (John) 9:39-41
For judgement He came. He heard every matter and every unrighteous ruling in that temple. And He warned them continually that their sin remains and that they would die in their sin. To say He did not reprove them is to say you see but remain blind just like the Pharisees.
He continues to speak to those there in John 10:1.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber. Yoḥanan (John) 10:1
This proves we are still in this same time but He continues to teach in the outer court by the gate.
John 10:1-21 then the sun sets and it is the festival of the Yahudim. (This is there to show a time line).
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter through the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up by another way, that one is a thief and a robber. “But he who enters through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
“The doorkeeper opens for him, and the sheep hear his voice. And he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
“And when he has brought out his own sheep, he goes before them. And the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
“And they shall by no means follow a stranger, but shall flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” יהושע used this figure of speech, but they did not know what He had been saying to them. יהושע therefore said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. “All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. “I am the door.
Whoever enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and find pasture.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to slaughter, and to destroy. I have come that they might possess life, and that they might possess it beyond measure.
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
“But the hireling, and not being a shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees. And the wolf snatches the sheep and scatters them.
“Now the hireling flees because he is a hireling and is not concerned about the sheep.
“I am the good shepherd. And I know Mine, and Mine know Me, even as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.
“And other sheep I have which are not of this fold – I have to bring them as well, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one shepherd.
“Because of this the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, in order to receive it again.
“No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to receive it again. This command I have received from My Father.”
Again there came a division among the Yahuḏim because of these words, and many of them said,
“He has a demon and is mad, why do you listen to Him?” Others said, “These are not the words of one possessed by a demon. Is a demon able to open the eyes of the blind?” Yoḥanan (John) 10:1-21
Verse 23 he is walking on Solomon’s porch. This is in front of the outer court and the gate, at sunset He is not “in the temple” but where Solomon would have issued judgement and right ruling. There, on Solomon’s porch He tells them they are not His sheep. So very profound when you read everything leading up to this!
At that time the Hanukkah came to be in Yerushalayim, and it was winter. And יהושע was walking in the Set-apart Place, in the porch of Shelomoh. Yoḥanan (John) 10:22,23
Verse 26-31 And they try to stone Him again. Which is unrighteously judging by the way according to Torah.
“But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
“And I give them everlasting life, and they shall by no means ever perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.
“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.
“I and My Father are one.”
Again the Yahuḏim picked up stones to stone Him. Yoḥanan (John) 10:26-31
He is not there for “their festivals”. He did not proclaim He was the LIGHT on “their festival”.
The true light is seen by those who enter the gate, Him, and they were not His sheep. They had not entered! Then He goes to Jordan where John immersed those who “followed” the Shepherd and believed “in” Him there! John 10:39-42.
